ARCore allows your phone to sense the environment around it, understand it, and interact with information. To enable AR experiences that are shared, some APIs are available on both Android and iOS. The phone can track its position relative the world using motion tracking. The phone can detect the size and position of any surface, horizontal, vertical, or angled, such as walls, floors, coffee tables, and ground. The phone can also estimate the current lighting conditions by using light estimation. Motion tracking technology by ARCore uses the camera on the phone to identify interesting points.
