AIR Description
AIR is a 3D graphics rendering program that is highly advanced and has many features. It can produce high-quality images quickly thanks to its unique architecture. AIR is a hybrid renderer that combines the benefits of scanline rendering - fast rendering complex scenes, motion blur and depth of field – with the flexibility of on demand ray tracing for precise reflections, soft shadows and global illumination. AIR supports a wide range of geometric primitives including polygon meshes and trimmed NURBs as well as subdivision meshes. Curves, particles, particles, and implicit surface are all supported. All primitives can be supported in their original form. No pre-meshing is necessary. AIR also supports true displacement (sub-pixels) and high-dynamic range output (HDR). AIR allows for fully-programmable shading and procedural modelling. By writing new functions in any programming language, users can extend the shading language.
