Description
Prisma Access Browser is an enterprise-grade browser crafted by Palo Alto Networks, aimed at safeguarding both managed and unmanaged devices by embedding security features within the browsing experience itself. Leveraging the Chromium framework, it merges the user-friendly design and essential functionalities of Google Chrome with robust security enhancements to defend against cyber threats like phishing, malware, eavesdropping, and unauthorized data transfers. This innovative browser extends Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) protection to all devices effortlessly, providing businesses with agility, security, and comprehensive control. Its main features include the establishment of a secure workspace across various devices, defense against sophisticated phishing schemes, recognition and prevention of advanced malware, facilitation of forensics and threat hunting, and mitigation of tampering risks. Furthermore, it improves visibility and control through last-mile data protection while preventing data transfers from corporate accounts to personal ones, thereby reinforcing organizational security protocols. In this way, Prisma Access Browser not only secures enterprise environments but also ensures that sensitive information remains within authorized channels.
Description
Surface Security offers a comprehensive enterprise browser security and AI visibility solution through a managed browser extension, rather than serving as a replacement for existing browsers. This platform enables organizations to identify and manage risks within the browsers that their employees are already using, thus eliminating the need for a disruptive new browser installation or the requirement to route sensitive activities through a third-party cloud service.
Its focus is on post-click activity, addressing threats such as phishing sites, unauthorized credential submissions, man-in-the-middle attacks, signs of session theft, risky browser extensions, shadow SaaS applications, the movement of sensitive data, and the use of AI tools. Security teams are empowered to alert users, block hazardous actions, enforce policies at the browser level, and integrate detailed alerts with SIEM and SOAR tools for better incident management.
Surface Security can be deployed either on-premises or within the customer’s cloud environment, which supports organizations in retaining data sovereignty and maintaining oversight of telemetry, logs, policies, and investigation data. This flexibility ensures that companies can tailor their security approach to fit their specific operational needs while enhancing their overall cybersecurity posture.
