Plain Clipboard Manager (PCM) is a tool designed for Windows that tracks the clipboard and stores copied text in utf-8 (unicode) format within plain text files. Each entry logged includes details about the originating application and the title of the document, and for text sourced from web pages, it incorporates a link to the original page. Additionally, any images or screenshots copied are preserved as PNG files, utilizing lossless compression methods. Users have the flexibility to configure the storage location for their clipboard items, allowing for options such as saving directly to cloud services like Dropbox or OneDrive for easy synchronization. PCM can be either installed on a system or run directly from a USB stick, with all settings and clip notes retained on the removable device when used in this manner. As a lightweight native Windows application, it boasts a compact size of just 0.5 MB, making it a much smaller alternative compared to other clipboard management tools. Furthermore, PCM offers a unique feature that enables users to set up short keywords, known as key templates, which are automatically expanded into complete phrases when typed in any application, enhancing productivity and efficiency. Description
You can modify the widths of the panels by dragging the divider situated between them. To adjust the height of the window, simply pull the red label located at the bottom. Additionally, panels can be rearranged by dragging them to your preferred location. If you move a panel outside of the window, it will remain on top of other applications until you close it. By default, Unclutter's window can be accessed by moving your mouse to the top of the screen and scrolling down, which is considered the most efficient method, although you have the option to change this behavior if desired. Furthermore, Unclutter can be configured to automatically relaunch when your computer starts up. You can also choose to hide specific panels, allowing for more space for the ones you frequently use. Moreover, Unclutter enables you to save your files and notes in a shared directory, such as Dropbox, ensuring that your content is automatically synchronized across all your Macs where Unclutter is similarly configured. This feature enhances accessibility and organization of your files across devices.
