Description
After more than twenty years of continuous enhancement, PAM has evolved through invaluable insights and recommendations from a multitude of clients with varying requirements, ensuring it remains at the forefront of agricultural technology. This innovative tool consistently grows in strength and utility, allowing users to Budget, Plan, and Record their agricultural activities effectively for crop establishment and monitoring. Users have the option to integrate PAM with either a Mapping Module or a Precision Farming Mapping Module, significantly boosting the software's reporting functions and enriching the overall experience of production tracking. By meticulously monitoring all expenses and revenues, users can leverage robust gross margin reports to identify which areas of production are facing challenges and which ones are thriving. Additionally, PAM allows for in-depth analysis of water usage efficiency, providing comprehensive rainfall and weather graphs, along with comparative reports on different varieties and blocks, to offer a clear insight into operational performance. Furthermore, the software facilitates data imports from soil and tissue testing labs, enabling users to graph results or visualize data directly on their farm maps, making it an indispensable tool for modern farming. This holistic approach to farm management ensures that every aspect of agricultural activities is optimized for success.
Description
This straightforward tool is designed to compute the pricing of wine at various stages within the supply chain, based on known or estimated prices from other points in that chain. Its primary utility appears to be for Australian wine producers, as it incorporates specific taxes such as GST and WET that are likely applicable only in Australia. For instance, if you desire your wine to retail at $25 per bottle in retail outlets, with anticipated markups of 40% at retail and 30% at wholesale, the calculator will determine the necessary farm gate price—the amount you must charge the wholesaler. According to the calculator, you would need to set your price at approximately $9.68 per bottle, amounting to $116.16 (excluding WET) for a case of twelve bottles, and if you qualify for a WET rebate, as many wineries do, this adds an extra $26.11 for a case, resulting in a total cost recovery of $142.28 for the wine. Additionally, the calculator is equipped to handle various sales scenarios, including direct-to-retail situations that bypass wholesalers, as well as commissions and farm gate pricing. It also accommodates different quantities, which could range from an entire case to just a single glass.
