Description

Opal Security is an identity governance and access management platform built for organizations that need to control access across employees, AI agents, applications, infrastructure, and other non-human identities. The platform applies policy and governance controls to access requests, privileged sessions, entitlement reviews, and automated systems from a single layer. Paladin, Opal’s AI decision engine, reviews requests, evaluates policy and risk, explains its reasoning, and can either make a decision or escalate the request to a human reviewer. Just-in-time access capabilities allow organizations to provide temporary privileged permissions only when necessary and automatically revoke them afterward. Opal also uses AI to support access reviews by examining entitlements, weighing available evidence, and recommending whether access should be retained or removed. For AI agents and autonomous systems, the platform can govern what they are allowed to see, access, and execute. Every access change and administrative action can be logged, attributed, searched, and exported to systems such as SIEM platforms or Amazon S3. Opal supports cloud-hosted, self-hosted, virtual machine, and Kubernetes deployment models for organizations with different infrastructure and regulatory requirements. Security capabilities include SOC 2 Type 2 certification, TLS encryption in transit, AWS KMS encryption at rest, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and support for US or EU data residency.

Description

Full Stack Permissions offered as a service allows you to verify authorization effortlessly, enabling you to concentrate on enhancing your primary product. Utilize the appropriate tools for specific tasks and select the best language for policy implementation, all while avoiding vendor lock-in. With Permit.io, you're empowered to blend various policy engines as needed, now including support for OPA's Rego, AWS' Cedar, and Amazon Verified Permissions. You can easily generate Policy as Code directly into your Git repository, facilitating real-time deployments into the application agent. This solution simplifies the permission-granting process to the point where it feels like merely ticking a box. You can manage and modify your policies in mere seconds, rather than the lengthy days typically required. The user-friendly interface, API access, and direct Rego code interaction make it accessible for all users. Additionally, it enables multi-tenancy, RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, and much more through a cohesive interface. Low-code and no-code options are provided for users who may not have technical expertise, while ensuring that your policies remain adaptable to future needs through policy as code. Furthermore, you receive seamless Git Ops support right from the start, ensuring a smooth operational experience.
