Description

This web application provides a user-friendly platform for designing 16x16 icons, also known as favicons, by utilizing straightforward drawing tools. For those seeking high-quality icons with refined edges, shadows, or intricate effects, we recommend exploring our advanced 3D icon editor. Users can select a basic color by clicking on one of the color squares located on the right side of the interface. To erase specific pixels, you can draw with a transparent color (indicated by a checkerboard pattern), or if you prefer to start fresh, simply click the Clear Canvas button in the toolbar to remove everything at once. If you wish to use a specific color, enter its hexadecimal web color code in the provided box beneath the default colors and click the 'Set' button to apply it. Choose your preferred drawing tool by clicking the respective button on the toolbar; the "Pencil" tool changes the colors of pixels as you move the mouse across the canvas while holding down the left button. The "Lines" tool allows you to draw a line from the point where you initially clicked to where you release the button, while the "Dropper" tool lets you pick the current color from any pixel within your icon. With these features, creating a personalized favicon has never been easier.

Description

Raster images are transformed into vector graphics by interpreting pixel color data and representing it as basic geometric shapes. Typically, this process involves analyzing regions where colors or brightness levels are similar, which are then converted into graphic elements like lines, circles, and curves. A raster graphic consists of a rectangular array of pixels, each assigned a specific color value, and resizing such an image usually leads to a degradation in visual quality. In contrast, vector graphics rely on mathematical formulas to define shapes, such as points, lines, and curves, rather than being composed of pixels. This fundamental difference allows vector graphics to be resized and rotated without any loss of clarity or detail, making them highly adaptable for various applications. As a result, vector graphics are often preferred for designs requiring scalability, such as logos and illustrations.
