Description

Omnara is an open-source API for building and running AI agents in your product or internal workflows. It handles agent execution and state, so developers can focus on what each agent needs to do instead of building the infrastructure around it. You can use Omnara to add agents to a customer dashboard, create internal Slack agents, or run workflows such as code review. Launch agents, send instructions, and follow their work through a REST API, TypeScript SDK, or CLI. Agents preserve their state and can resume after interruptions. Choose the models, tools, and environments that fit your project. Omnara supports providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter, as well as compatible endpoints for models you host yourself. Agents can use managed sandboxes or connect to your own machines. MCP integrations and reusable skills let them work with external tools and data. For teams, Omnara provides project access controls, encrypted secrets, activity history, and approval steps for sensitive tool actions. You can start with Omnara Cloud or self-host the platform in your own environment.

Description

boxd offers developers, engineering teams, and AI-agent applications access to persistent Linux virtual machines. Each virtual machine operates with its own kernel and features such as SSH access, a public HTTPS address, and persistent disk storage, allowing for the execution of software requiring a comprehensive computing environment, including Docker, systemd, long-running agents, and development servers, all within an isolated setup. Users have the ability to fork a live machine along with its memory and disk state, enabling them to experiment with alternative approaches without having to rebuild the entire environment; additionally, idle machines can enter a hibernation mode while preserving their disk state. Management of these machines is facilitated through SSH, a command-line interface, an API, and SDKs in Python and TypeScript. Organizations can easily integrate with platforms like GitHub, Linear, and Slack for enhanced collaboration. boxd can be operated as a managed cloud service located in Frankfurt, or it can be self-hosted on Linux infrastructure that supports KVM, with free deployment options available for configurations up to 16 vCPUs. Practical applications for boxd include cloud development environments, AI-agent test beds, background coding assistants, and staging environments for previews. This versatility makes it an excellent solution for teams looking to optimize their development workflows.
