Description
The Net vProbe is a versatile software tool designed to assess the quality of transport for OTT multicast video streams, including DASH and HLS formats. It can be deployed on x86 servers or virtual machines at key testing locations, whether in the cloud or on-premises. The maximum number of supported OTT or multicast streams is solely dependent on the selected physical or virtual infrastructure. This solution measures stream throughput compatible with both HLS and DASH, ensuring the accuracy of HLS manifests and the integrity of DASH sidx files. It can simultaneously monitor all profiles, and its throughput over time histograms facilitate detailed analysis for each individual profile. The system provides continuous round-the-clock monitoring for extensive stream numbers, while also verifying and reporting HTTP statuses and detecting any HTTP errors that may arise. By dynamically generating HTTP requests, it operates as an OTT client or player, offering capabilities such as video decoding and thumbnail generation. Additionally, it tracks buffer fill percentages and evaluates the quality factor of stream transport, providing comprehensive insights into video performance. The combination of these features makes the Net vProbe an essential tool for ensuring optimal streaming experiences.
Description
Garak evaluates the potential failures of an LLM in undesirable ways, examining aspects such as hallucination, data leakage, prompt injection, misinformation, toxicity, jailbreaks, and various other vulnerabilities. This free tool is designed with an eagerness for development, continually seeking to enhance its functionalities for better application support. Operating as a command-line utility, Garak is compatible with both Linux and OSX systems; you can easily download it from PyPI and get started right away. The pip version of Garak receives regular updates, ensuring it remains current, while its specific dependencies recommend setting it up within its own Conda environment. To initiate a scan, Garak requires the model to be analyzed and, by default, will conduct all available probes on that model utilizing the suggested vulnerability detectors for each. During the scanning process, users will see a progress bar for every loaded probe, and upon completion, Garak will provide a detailed evaluation of each probe's findings across all detectors. This makes Garak not only a powerful tool for assessment but also a vital resource for researchers and developers aiming to enhance the safety and reliability of LLMs.
