In terms of networking, it provides functionalities such as virtual switching, packet processing, multi-tenant isolation, advanced traffic management, RDMA acceleration, and software-defined networking capabilities. On the storage side, DOCA supports KV cache infrastructure, NVMe over Fabrics, storage virtualization, and software-defined storage services, enabling a seamless integration of storage solutions. Overall, DOCA significantly enhances operational efficiency and flexibility in managing advanced infrastructure.

Description

Clastix offers kMetal, a Kubernetes platform that operates directly on physical servers without the need for a hypervisor layer. It utilizes kernel-based KVM for native virtualization, manages software-defined networking for tenants, and constructs immutable operating systems for nodes, all of which are represented as Kubernetes resources. This platform empowers teams to create self-service Kubernetes clusters on their own hardware, ensuring that each tenant enjoys a dedicated control plane, an isolated network, and strict resource quotas. kMetal is built using well-established open-source cloud-native technologies, avoiding proprietary modifications, and guarantees that the clusters it provisions conform to CNCF standards of upstream Kubernetes. Furthermore, this solution streamlines the deployment process while providing robust isolation and security for each tenant's environment.
