reCore is an innovative cloud-based IT asset disposition (ITAD) platform designed to assist electronics recyclers, refurbishers, and IT departments in effectively diagnosing, wiping, grading, and certifying decommissioned hardware all from a single system, eliminating the need for any on-premise servers. Devices can initiate operations through USB, PXE, or ISO and provide real-time updates to a cloud-based dashboard throughout various processes such as intake, testing, wiping, grading, and completion, enabling the simultaneous handling of multiple devices without the requirement for external hardware. The platform executes 23 automated diagnostic tests on each device, assessing components like the CPU, storage, display, battery, and ports in under 8 minutes, ensuring thorough evaluations. Following diagnostics, the data erasure process complies with NIST SP 800-88 Rev 2 standards (including Clear, Purge, and Secure/Crypto Erase) and features per-drive SHA-256 verification, strict enforcement of duty separation, and automatic generation of tamper-evident certificates for enhanced security. Cosmetic grading is standardized through a 7-component defect catalog, with the lowest score determining the final grade, which ensures uniformity in results across different technicians. Additionally, the platform incorporates multi-tenant access, key performance indicators for technicians, batch reporting capabilities, and a REST API, making it a comprehensive solution for IT asset management.
