Description
M4PAM distinguishes itself from conventional PAM solutions by integrating privileged access control directly within the database environment. It offers a comprehensive suite that includes server-level access management, secure SSH and RDP connections, identity-based session management, credential oversight, and complete session recording, augmented by a Database Privileged Access Management (DBPAM) component that meticulously regulates user visibility and interaction with specific tables, columns, and rows. While traditional PAM systems may disable an Active Directory account, they often neglect to secure local database credentials; M4PAM effectively addresses this oversight. Users benefit from authenticating via single sign-on and two-factor authentication instead of relying on shared login details, and they can request access as needed, which is automatically revoked once it expires. Additionally, the inclusion of an SQL Firewall and dynamic data masking enhances oversight of database interactions. M4PAM is versatile enough to function as an independent PAM solution or to be integrated atop an existing third-party PAM system, effectively bridging the database security gap without necessitating a complete overhaul. It seamlessly interfaces with native database clients and business intelligence tools, enabling deployment without the need for agents, thereby simplifying the implementation process. This innovative approach ensures that database security is both robust and user-friendly.
Description
Privileged accounts grant users and systems enhanced and unrestricted access, which is essential for executing vital operations. However, these accounts are frequently targeted in cyberattacks, as their compromise allows hackers to infiltrate crucial systems, extract confidential information, and introduce harmful software. In light of the rapid expansion of virtualized and cloud infrastructures, contemporary privileged access management solutions must not only facilitate the establishment and implementation of controls over these privileged accounts but also adapt to the significantly broadened attack surface and the growing diversity of such accounts. As organizations continue to evolve their digital landscapes, the importance of robust privileged access management cannot be overstated.
