The software allows users to organize their photos into albums and folders while providing features for ratings, flags, metadata searching, sorting, and detecting duplicates. It includes non-destructive editing tools that facilitate exposure, tone and color adjustments, cropping, geometry changes, applying presets, converting to black and white, and utilizing local masks. Supporting a wide range of camera RAW formats and standard image types, it enables exports in JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP, and DNG formats. Users can easily compare edits, synchronize settings across multiple selected photos, and design contact sheets for their work. LightCraft is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux systems, and it also offers a self-hosted WebAssembly build. Additionally, it features a command-line interface, a JSON control channel, and an MCP server for enhanced automation capabilities. Notably, all the library's data is stored locally, eliminating the need for user accounts or cloud services, thus ensuring complete data privacy and control.
Description
Over the years, cameras have undergone significant transformations, evolving into more compact forms, with many now integrated into the smartphones we carry daily. This evolution has made photography more accessible than ever, allowing a vast array of individuals, from casual shooters to dedicated creatives, to capture their visions. As a result, there is increased competition among photographers and content creators to showcase their work to a broader audience. Both seasoned professionals and those looking to break into the field often utilize external lighting, such as flash, to enhance their captures, illustrating that effective use of light can elevate a simple image into something striking and memorable. Light is indeed the fundamental element of photography, and mastering it can set apart an ordinary photograph from one that truly captivates an audience. Since its inception in 1968, Profoto has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation in photography gear, with the Profoto Camera standing out as the ultimate smartphone camera, expertly designed to optimize light for stunning results. This innovation reflects a commitment to excellence that empowers photographers to achieve their creative aspirations.
