Description
JediTerm is a Java-based terminal widget that can be seamlessly integrated into various IDEs, offering support for SSH connections as well as local PTY across Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows platforms. It is utilized by numerous JetBrains IDEs, including PyCharm, IDEA, PhpStorm, WebStorm, AppCode, CLion, and Rider. Starting from version 2.5, JediTerm has also released a standalone version specifically for Mac OS X. The name JediTerm is derived from the combination of "J" for Java, "edi" which is "IDE" reversed, and "Term" for terminal; the inclusion of "Jedi" conveys a sense of confidence and hope amid the multitude of terminal implementations available. Users can launch the standalone JediTerm terminal directly from the source code by running either jediterm.sh or jediterm.bat scripts. The project utilizes Gradle for its build process and incorporates a terminal core library that delivers a VT100-compatible terminal emulator, complemented by a Java Swing-based user interface for the terminal panel. Additionally, it features a PTY library that leverages Pty4J, allowing for the execution of local PTY terminal sessions effectively. This versatility makes JediTerm a valuable tool for developers seeking a reliable terminal solution within their development environments.
Description
Webswing is the driving force behind webswing.org, a powerful web server that allows any Java desktop application to run directly in a web browser - without changing a single line of source code.
With Webswing, you can run Java Desktop applications using pure HTML5, seamlessly supporting frameworks like Swing, JavaFX, Oracle Forms, SWT, NetBeans, and even Java applets.
While the golden era of the Java Desktop GUI has passed and desktop applications have lost popularity in favour of online and mobile solutions, the question remains: what should you do with your existing applications? Applet technology is no longer secure, and rewriting your application for the web can be prohibitively expensive. That’s where Webswing comes in. By running your application securely on a server, Webswing allows users to interact with it via their browser, displaying the application window as if it were native. And all of this happens without modifying your code. You can set up Webswing in just three simple steps, often within minutes.
Our team of IT professionals deploys Webswing daily, helping clients unlock new markets and opportunities for their existing Java applications. With extensive experience in a wide range of Webswing projects, we’re confident we can take your business further than you might imagine.
Our entire company is dedicated to ongoing product development and delivering world-class support to clients across the globe. We're continually enhancing Webswing to make it even more flexible, user-friendly, and powerful.
