Description
We are both an imaging and an envisioning company, dedicated to creating a more insightful and capable world through advanced 3D digital technologies and measurement solutions. Since our inception, we have empowered our clients to make quicker and more accurate decisions than anyone else in the market. Undetected errors and issues with non-conformance lead to wasted resources, rework, and dissatisfied customers. In scenarios where timing is crucial, the appropriate inspection technologies prove invaluable. Challenges related to alignment and part placement hinder production efficiency, and in such cases, precision measurement tools become essential. Even the most groundbreaking designs can lose their appeal if they cannot be produced effectively. To maintain a competitive advantage, 3D modeling solutions are key. For instance, a bearings manufacturer invested in a Gage FaroArm to enhance inspection speed while maintaining high measurement accuracy. This strategic decision not only streamlined their processes but also ensured their products met the highest standards of quality. By leveraging innovative tools, they can now focus on design and production without compromising on precision.
Description
SPC stands for “Statistical Process Control,” a method that has gained significant traction since the mid-1980s, particularly within the American automotive sector. In French, this technique is referred to as “Contrôle Statistique des Processus” (SPM). The primary aim of SPC is to minimize scrap and rework rates through effective quality control of ongoing production, coupled with sampling methods, thereby anticipating issues related to non-quality. Utilizing SPC software allows for the real-time monitoring of processes and sends alerts if control limits are breached. © Infodream. Among the notifications generated are warnings about overruns of control limits, which are more stringent than tolerance limits, as well as indications of trends that suggest process degradation. This proactive approach enables manufacturers to address potential quality issues before producing defective parts. Importantly, this technique is versatile and can be applied to various manufacturing processes, whether producing in small batches or large volumes, and regardless of whether 100% inspection or sampling is employed. Ultimately, SPC contributes to maintaining high-quality standards in production.
