Description

Explore the features of ExcelAnalyzer to efficiently identify and address various issues in just a few clicks. By highlighting all unique formulas, this tool enables users to quickly understand the construction of their worksheets, making it easy to spot inconsistencies among different formulas. For instance, the green-highlighted formulas in cells F7 and G7 do not total the rows above, indicating a need for correction. The Formula report provided by ExcelAnalyzer lists all unique formulas, assisting in the detection of inconsistencies while offering a convenient link to navigate to and rectify any problematic formulas. Furthermore, ExcelAnalyzer employs a color-coding system to enhance readability for each formula, simplifying the analysis process. This tool not only combines robust error detection with investigative capabilities but also provides a thorough examination of spreadsheets, effectively minimizing significant errors and the potential for fraud. With remarkable accuracy, ExcelAnalyzer identifies errors and risks in a matter of seconds, ensuring users can maintain the integrity of their data. Ultimately, this tool is essential for anyone looking to improve spreadsheet accuracy and reliability.

Description

The xlrd library is designed for developers looking to extract data from .xls files, which are a type of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. This tool specifically focuses on reading data and the formatting details contained within these older Excel file formats. It's important to note that xlrd is limited to handling only .xls files moving forward. The library does not process features such as charts, macros, images, or any other embedded elements, including additional worksheets, VBA modules, or formulas, though it can retrieve the results of formula evaluations, comments, hyperlinks, and various filters such as auto, advanced, and pivot tables, as well as conditional formatting and data validation. Unfortunately, password-protected files cannot be accessed or read with this library. When using xlrd from the command line, users can view the first, second, and last rows of each sheet contained within the specified files. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that xlrd is distributed under the BSD license, providing certain freedoms for developers to utilize and modify the library as needed.
