Description
EQBase is a macOS application designed to provide users with an equalizer and an extensive array of audio controls that function across all audio sources on the Mac, including web browsers, VoIP calls, gaming applications, and system notifications. It offers a range of equalization options from a straightforward three-control setup to an intricate 24-band parametric equalizer featuring dynamic and linear-phase filters, as well as correction curves tailored for 8,666 different headphone models. Additionally, it allows for per-application volume adjustments, individualized equalization settings, specific output routing for each app, hosting of Audio Units, the capability to record system audio, room measurement functionalities, and loudness compensation features.
One of its notable advantages is that it introduces no latency to the direct audio signal, ensuring that when all controls are set to a neutral position, the output remains bit-perfect, continuously verified against the live audio stream. The installation process is simple, requiring only a single system permission, eliminating the need for an admin password or any kernel extension by default.
The app offers a free tier with no time constraints, while the Pro version, which unlocks advanced features, is available for $4.99 per month, $39.99 annually, or a one-time payment of $79.99, accompanied by a 14-day refund policy. Compatibility is ensured with macOS 14 or later, catering to both Apple silicon and Intel architectures, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of users. Furthermore, EQBase's innovative design makes it an essential tool for audio enthusiasts looking to enhance their listening experience across multiple applications.
Description
The MacPorts Project is a community-driven open-source initiative aimed at creating a user-friendly platform for compiling, installing, and upgrading various types of open-source software—whether command-line, X11, or Aqua—on the macOS operating system. To facilitate this, we offer the MacPorts software package, which operates via the command line and is licensed under a 3-Clause BSD License, granting users seamless access to thousands of ports that streamline the process of managing open-source software on Mac computers. Our repository maintains a single software tree that aligns with the latest versions of every software title (port) we offer, avoiding the complications of categorizing them into “stable” and “unstable” versions, primarily focusing on compatibility with macOS Mojave v10.14 and later, including support for macOS Monterey v12 on both Intel and Apple Silicon hardware. With a vast array of ports available across multiple categories, the collection is continually expanding to meet the needs of users. Each update aims to enhance user experience while ensuring that the most current software options are readily accessible.
