Description

DynoTable is a desktop GUI designed for macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows, and Linux (.deb/.rpm) that operates locally and interfaces with Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon OpenSearch. With its SQL Workbench, users can execute real SELECT queries, including complex operations like JOINs, GROUP BY, and various aggregations on live tables and OpenSearch indices, allowing for the seamless integration of tables and indices in a single query. Before execution, it provides a compiled plan that distinguishes between Scan and Query with the selected index, enhancing user understanding of query performance. The Smart Tables feature enables joining tables based on a primary key or any global secondary index, with real-time recomputation ensuring data accuracy. Additionally, OpenSearch Service domains and Serverless collections can be accessed alongside tables, featuring capabilities such as Lucene search, autocomplete, and document edits that are managed similarly to item edits. An integrated AI agent operates using your own Amazon Bedrock keys, ensuring that no prompt, schema, or row information is stored outside your AWS account. Moreover, tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex are able to connect through MCP, with all modifications requiring your review and approval in a staging window. Importantly, DynoTable employs your personal AWS credentials without necessitating a server in between, and it is compatible with AWS SSO, aws-vault, and DynamoDB Local, offering a comprehensive solution for managing your AWS database environments. This robust functionality makes DynoTable an essential tool for developers and data analysts working with AWS services.
