Description
DeviceShelf provides a comprehensive mapping of your local network, ensuring that the entire map is stored securely on your own device. A single scan reveals detailed information about each device that responds, including vendor information, hostname, operating system, and device type, along with insights into open ports and their implications for security.
It simultaneously scans all adapters, identifies devices using MAC OUI, DNS, mDNS/Bonjour, NetBIOS, TTL, and DHCP fingerprints, and enumerates open TCP and UDP ports while detecting services, culminating in a prioritized security report that highlights exposed services like Telnet, RDP, ADB, Docker API, or Redis, along with information about default credentials, weak TLS configurations, and known CVEs, each accompanied by recommended fixes and risk scores ranging from 0 to 100. In addition, it continuously monitors network activity, tracking when devices connect or disconnect and providing real-time metrics on uptime, latency, and bandwidth usage for every device connected to the network.
There’s no need for an account, as DeviceShelf operates without telemetry or cloud synchronization, ensuring that scan results remain confined to the originating computer; moreover, its optional AI assistant can function using either your own API key or a local model. Furthermore, a single license grants access to desktop, mobile, and a 24/7 server edition, making it a versatile solution for network management.
Description
Port Detective is a Windows port inspection and troubleshooting tool built for developers, IT teams, and technical users who need a faster way to diagnose blocked ports. The application shows which processes are listening on ports, including the process name, PID, and executable path. Instead of switching between Task Manager, Resource Monitor, PowerShell, and command-line utilities, users can search a port and see the owner immediately. The free version includes core port visibility, instant lookup, and a small number of safe kills for terminating conflicting processes. Port Detective Pro expands the tool with unlimited protected process kills, a Ctrl+K command palette, parent and child process inspection, and connection-history exports. Its Port Guard watchdog can monitor important ports every 250 milliseconds and optionally remove intruding processes while restoring the correct owner. The Pro edition also supports remote scans of servers, VMs, Docker bridges, and host-to-container port mapping. Port Detective is built as a native Rust and Tauri application, helping it stay lightweight, fast, and typically under 50 MB of RAM. The software gives Windows users a focused, privacy-conscious way to handle port conflicts without subscriptions, telemetry, or unnecessary system-monitoring clutter.
