When a Chainpoint Node receives hashes, they are aggregated in a structure known as a Merkle tree, with the root of this tree published through a Bitcoin transaction. The resulting Chainpoint proof outlines specific operations that create a cryptographic connection between your data and the Bitcoin blockchain. Additionally, each Chainpoint proof includes the necessary information to confirm that a hash of the data is securely anchored to the blockchain, thereby demonstrating that the data was present at the time of anchoring.
