Description
Obtain precise 3D scans from your team or customers effortlessly. Our user-friendly iOS SDKs empower you to seamlessly incorporate the ability to capture both 2D and 3D data directly within your application. If you're interested in representing the world in three dimensions rather than just two, consider using Capture, the quickest and most precise scanning app for iPhone users! This app allows you to create 3D scans, share them with others, and save or download them in various file formats—all at no cost. Capture is designed to work with the TrueDepth camera, which is found only on iPhone models X, Xs, Xr, and Xs Max. You can scan a stationary object much like you would take a panorama photograph. Following the scan, you can preview it within our model environment or visualize it using augmented reality. Moreover, you can easily send your scan to friends through platforms such as iMessage, Slack, WhatsApp, and more. Notably, all iPhones can view the scan and utilize augmented reality features, even if they lack a TrueDepth camera. As a bonus, the ease of sharing means that creativity can flow freely among your friends and collaborators.
Description
The 3D Creator app enables users to scan objects in three dimensions. In its most recent update, it features five distinct scanning options: selfie scan, face scan, head scan, food scan, and freeform scan. This app comes preinstalled on various Xperia models, including Xperia 1, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ2 Premium, and Xperia XZ3. Additionally, users of the Xperia XZ Premium can access the 3D Creator through the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update. The initial step in the scanning process involves calibration, where the camera captures images as you slowly move around the item, while an algorithm identifies prominent features. Using the camera's position and the collected images, a rough point cloud is generated, which lacks color. Following this, a mesh is constructed from the point cloud data, which consists of numerous 3D points known as vertices. With the information from the point cloud, the algorithm refines the mesh to accurately replicate the shape of the object being scanned, resulting in a detailed 3D model. This innovative process opens up new possibilities for digital representation of real-world objects.
