Description

CanonDraft is an online platform designed for screenwriting, allowing users to craft scripts for both films and television shows. The software features an editor that automatically formats elements such as scenes, actions, dialogues, and transitions, while its integrated desk organizes the script scenes into index cards displayed on cork boards tailored to acts, along with sections for characters, locations, and research materials. Additionally, the Notebook component keeps track of written scenes adjacent to an idea beat board, with the ability to outline using various structures like three-act, Save the Cat, hero’s journey, film-with-interval, or TV-episode formats. A project bible consolidates information on cast and settings, and research clippings help users reference their sources accurately. An optional AI writers’ room is available to engage in discussions about the script and analyze scene-by-scene tension, with modifications made only upon acceptance. Users have the capability to import scripts in Fountain or plain text formats and export their work as PDFs, Fountain, or Final Draft files; outlines can also be exported in PDF or Word formats. Free accounts allow for the creation of up to three scripts, while Pro subscriptions remove limitations on script numbers and provide monthly allowances for AI-generated images. With its comprehensive features, CanonDraft aims to streamline the screenwriting process for writers at all levels.

Description

SceneKit is an advanced 3D graphics framework created by Apple, allowing developers to craft engaging 3D environments for applications across iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. It operates on top of Metal and OpenGL, delivering a user-friendly API for the importation, manipulation, and rendering of 3D assets. Developers are able to build intricate scenes using nodes (SCNNode), which symbolize various elements such as geometrical shapes, lighting, cameras, and additional attributes. The framework encompasses a variety of features, including a physics engine (SCNPhysicsBody) that facilitates realistic simulations, particle systems that create visual effects like fire or rain, and compatibility with ARKit to enhance augmented reality experiences by incorporating 3D content. SceneKit also provides organizational tools, such as the scene graph, which enables the hierarchical arrangement of nodes for better scene management. Furthermore, the integration of the SceneKit Scene Editor in Xcode simplifies the process of assembling assets into cohesive scenes, making it easier for developers to streamline their workflows and enhance the overall productivity of their projects. Overall, SceneKit represents a powerful asset for anyone looking to delve into 3D graphics development on Apple's platforms.
