Description
wysiwyg is a comprehensive lighting design software that seamlessly combines CAD capabilities, plotting, data management, visualization, and virtual show control into a single platform. It boasts the most extensive CAD library available, offering thousands of 3D objects for users to utilize while crafting their entire production. The wysiwyg Report module provides a 3D CAD application that integrates a presentation and reporting database, enabling users to generate accurate plots and monitor technical data automatically. Meanwhile, wysiwyg Design serves as the CAD environment for 3D design, equipped with real-time visualization, simulation, and virtual show control tools to facilitate the creation of lighting cues and scenic visuals without needing live production. Expanding on the functionalities of Report and Design, wysiwyg Perform incorporates direct DMX and Art-Net connectivity with consoles, CITP for media servers, and compatibility with motion controllers, ensuring a versatile and robust solution for lighting designers. This software not only enhances the creative process but also streamlines the technical aspects of show production, making it an indispensable tool for professionals in the industry.
Description
LMX is a Windows-based application designed for programming and managing stage lighting. It offers a unique blend of graphical and command-line programming, along with features such as tracked cue lists, palettes, presets, effects, and an integrated 3D visualizer for enhanced control. The software supports various output protocols, including Art-Net, sACN (E1.31), and FT232R USB-DMX, ensuring compatibility with a range of lighting rigs. For rig setup, users can take advantage of GDTF import capabilities and a dedicated fixture editor, while MIDI mapping and browser remote features facilitate interactive playback. It also includes multi-track audio functionality, allowing users to navigate and control waveform playback effectively. Those registered as beta users can access a complimentary beta license, but the Microsoft Store indicates that unlicensed Demo Mode restricts users to six fixtures. Following the beta phase, the anticipated Pro pricing is set at £299 for a one-time purchase or £19 per month, though these rates may be subject to modification. Additionally, the software's versatility makes it an appealing choice for both novice and experienced lighting designers.
