Description

Bytesalt is an AI-native QA teammate designed to help software teams accelerate testing by using autonomous agents to explore applications in parallel. Instead of requiring teams to write every test case manually, the platform lets users describe a feature, flow, API, or application area in natural language. Bytesalt then fans out the job across multiple AI agents that simulate real users, inspect behavior, identify issues, and produce clear reports with evidence and remediation guidance. The platform can perform UI and UX audits, regression testing, API validation, accessibility reviews, cross-browser checks, mobile testing, and autonomous security analysis for common vulnerabilities. It is designed to work alongside deterministic test suites such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium, filling coverage gaps where scripted tests are less effective. Developers can use Bytesalt through a CLI, connect it to CI/CD workflows, and run tests against modern web apps, backend APIs, distributed systems, localhost, or private staging environments. Its elastic scaling model allows testing tasks to be divided across workers so larger applications can be evaluated quickly. Reports are written in plain language and include issue descriptions, likely causes, business impact, and recommended fixes. Bytesalt gives engineering teams a practical way to expand QA coverage, discover unknown problems, and reduce the time required to validate software quality.

Code Coverage

Parasoft C/C++test provides a comprehensive solution for assessing structural code coverage during various testing phases, including unit, integration, and functional tests. It offers a range of metrics such as statement, branch, Modified Condition/Decision Coverage (MC/DC), call, and object/assembly coverage. Coverage data can be obtained from host environments, simulators, or target hardware. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates with popular open-source testing frameworks such as GoogleTest, Boost.Test, and CppUnit, catering to teams that prefer these options over C/C++test's native framework. The coverage results are then consolidated in Parasoft DTP, enabling centralized reporting and trend analysis across different builds. This functionality assists teams in identifying coverage gaps and meeting compliance requirements set by industry standards like ISO 26262 and DO-178C.

Continuous Testing

Parasoft C/C++test is tailored to integrate testing seamlessly into CI/CD workflows, eliminating the notion of testing as a standalone phase at the end of the development cycle. It combines static analysis, unit testing, and code coverage within build systems and continuous integration frameworks, facilitating the automation of a wide array of coding best practices. Results are automatically relayed to Parasoft DTP for consolidation and trend monitoring across different builds. One client highlighted that by incorporating test automation and static code analysis from the outset of development, they achieved significant improvements in quality assurance for critical automotive applications. This ongoing methodology also applies to compliance: in regulated sectors, C/C++test mandates that coverage, coding standards, and traceability criteria are applied to every build, rather than just at a single checkpoint, ensuring that compliance and quality are continuously monitored throughout the development process.

Functional Testing

Parasoft C/C++test provides comprehensive support for functional testing via both unit and system-level evaluations, ensuring that code operates as intended according to specified requirements rather than merely adhering to structural or stylistic guidelines. The tool automatically creates customizable test cases that can be run on various platforms, including host systems, simulators, and actual target environments, allowing for thorough verification of code durability and functional accuracy while also collecting code coverage data. The generated tests can accurately reflect the current behavior of the software at the method or function level, which can then be enhanced for functional assessments and set up seamlessly for regression testing. For projects that require adherence to safety standards, the system-level testing capabilities include fault injection, enabling teams to confirm the functional integrity of their code in both standard and fault scenarios, thus aiding compliance with regulations like ISO 26262 and DO-178B/C.
