Description

Brisc AI develops advanced AI Analysts designed to handle the back-office operations for managing general agents (MGAs), program administrators, specialty carriers, and reinsurers. A team of five Analysts is responsible for tasks such as verifying premium and claims bordereaux, reconciling premium cash and bank statements, extracting information from broker submissions, processing first notices of loss, and organizing claims laundry lists. The reconciliation process relies on deterministic, rule-based matching, with each match supported by evidence. Any exceptions are reviewed by personnel, with every decision documented alongside the reviewer's identity to maintain a comprehensive audit trail. Brisc operates as a software-as-a-service platform hosted on Microsoft Azure, providing a dedicated tenant for each client and ensuring that customer data is not utilized for model training purposes. Typically, clients can expect to go live within a timeframe of 2 to 6 weeks without needing to integrate with existing policy administration systems. In practical use, Brisc boasts over 97% accuracy in reconciliation and 99.1% accuracy at the field level across its Analysts. Notable clients include Helix Underwriting Partners, showcasing the trust placed in Brisc's innovative technology. This commitment to precision and customer confidentiality positions Brisc AI as a leader in the insurance technology space.

Description

HurLoss represents ARA's advanced hurricane catastrophe model tailored for property insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and ILS managers to adeptly navigate risks in regions susceptible to hurricanes. Since its inception in 1998, HurLoss has served as the cornerstone for structural engineering standards in hurricane-affected states and has been integral to federal emergency management and mitigation strategies across the nation since 2003. The model provides a comprehensive event set that spans the entire North Atlantic basin, covering areas such as the U.S., the Caribbean, Bermuda, and portions of Canada, Mexico, and Central America. What sets HurLoss apart is its physics-driven approach to hurricane hazard modeling combined with engineering load and resistance analysis, grounded in fundamental principles and corroborated by claims data. Additionally, the model incorporates projections related to future climate conditions, enabling users to evaluate risks using both current and anticipated climatological data, including variables such as sea surface temperature and wind shear. This forward-thinking approach ensures that stakeholders are equipped with the most relevant information to make informed decisions regarding their hurricane risk management strategies.
