Description

Mitsuba 2 is a research-focused, flexible rendering system crafted in portable C++17 and built upon the Enoki library, developed by the Realistic Graphics Lab at EPFL. It supports multiple variants, accommodating different color representations such as RGB, spectral, and monochrome, along with various vectorization options including scalar, SIMD, and CUDA, as well as capabilities for differentiable rendering. The system comprises a compact collection of core libraries supplemented by an extensive array of plugins that provide features like diverse materials, light sources, and comprehensive rendering algorithms. Mitsuba 2 aims to maintain compatibility with its predecessor, Mitsuba 0.6, ensuring a smooth transition for users.
