Description
Azure Backup provides a secure, affordable, and scalable backup solution that can be executed with a single click, tailored to your storage requirements. The user-friendly centralized management interface simplifies the process of establishing backup policies for a diverse array of enterprise workloads, which includes Azure Virtual Machines, SQL and SAP databases, as well as Azure file shares. With Backup Center, organizations can effectively monitor, operate, govern, and optimize data protection consistently and at scale. You can ensure application consistency when backing up and restoring data from virtual machines in Windows by utilizing Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS), and similarly in Linux through pre- and post-processing scripts. The service supports backups for Azure Virtual Machines, on-premises servers, SQL Server, and SAP HANA hosted on Azure Virtual Machines, in addition to Azure Files and Azure Database for PostgreSQL. To enhance data durability, backups can be stored using locally redundant storage (LRS), geo-redundant storage (GRS), or zone-redundant storage (ZRS). Additionally, Backup Center allows for seamless management of your entire backup environment from a single console, facilitating a more efficient and unified backup strategy. This comprehensive approach ensures that organizations can maintain robust data protection with minimal effort and maximum reliability.
