Description

A language resembling TypeScript designed for WebAssembly is known as AssemblyScript. This language is specifically tailored to leverage the capabilities of WebAssembly, allowing developers to have granular control over their applications. Thanks to its resemblance to TypeScript, developers can easily compile their code to WebAssembly without the need to learn a completely different programming language. AssemblyScript seamlessly fits into the existing web development ecosystem, requiring no cumbersome toolchain installations; a simple npm install is all that's needed to get started. It is an open-source project available under the Apache License, Version 2.0, and is built on top of Binaryen while adhering to the WebAssembly standards. AssemblyScript is supported and maintained by a talented group of contributors who are dedicated to enhancing its capabilities and community.

WordCraft is an accessible and open-source word processing tool designed for those who create and format various types of documents. Featuring a ribbon interface, it offers a range of editing and design functionalities that include styles, tables, images, citations, footnotes, tables of contents, comments, tracked changes, as well as spelling and grammar checks, and mail merge capabilities. The software can read and write DOCX files, accommodate legacy DOC formats, and is compatible with ODT, RTF, HTML, Markdown, LaTeX, and plain text, in addition to allowing exports to PDF and page images. It operates natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and has a WebAssembly version that can be deployed on a static server. Moreover, its command-line utilities, JSON control channel, and server functioning under the Model Context Protocol enable scripted and AI-agent-driven document processing workflows. Currently in the alpha stage, WordCraft is continuously evolving, with ongoing improvements in file compatibility and feature set. As it progresses, users can anticipate even more robust functionalities and enhancements to their writing experience.
