Description
Android Things provides an opportunity to create devices on a reliable platform, even for those who lack prior experience in embedded system design: You can utilize the Android SDK and Android Studio for development, interact with hardware components like displays and cameras through the Android framework, and utilize the Android Things Console to deliver over-the-air updates for features and security. This platform allows developers to create applications on widely-used hardware systems such as the Raspberry Pi 3. Google's management of the Board Support Package (BSP) means that developers are free from the need to engage in kernel or firmware development. Through the Android Things Console, software images are constructed and sent to devices, ensuring a dependable development environment with regular updates and patches from Google. Consequently, developers can focus on innovation while relying on a robust framework that simplifies the process of building and maintaining their devices.
Description
CLAUSTRUM is an MDM solution specifically designed for Android kiosks that transforms various devices, such as POS systems, time clock terminals, totems, or tablets, into locked-down units dedicated to one or more applications, all manageable from a centralized cloud console. It is compatible with Android 7 and newer versions, functioning seamlessly on devices without Google services, thus accommodating AOSP devices and POS terminals as well.
Through the console, users can remotely view and control screens (available on Android 11 and up), implement group-based policies, silently install or update apps, configure Wi-Fi and mobile data APNs, and issue commands like reboot, lock, or wipe; an API further allows for command triggering via ERP or software systems by matching devices using their serial numbers. Enrollment of devices can be done via QR code or ADB, and each client receives a unique account with licenses, enabling the option to resell the service to additional customers.
The service is offered in one comprehensive plan that includes all features, and potential users can take advantage of a 14-day free trial without needing to provide payment details. Additionally, the development and support of this product are based in Spain, ensuring localized expertise and assistance.
