ReqKey enhances the API you control by incorporating key features such as API key authentication, usage credits, rate limiting, and analytics for requests. Notably, it does not act as a proxy, gateway, or require any DNS modifications, ensuring that it does not introduce additional latency into your critical operations. The average validation time is under 5 milliseconds, and the credit system is designed to be per consumer, meaning that issuing a second key to a customer does not increase their quota, keeping balances consistent across different regions. Additionally, ReqKey offers features such as shadow limits, managed overages, reusable plans, alerts for low credits, and detailed logs that can be filtered by endpoint, status, consumer, and time period. In terms of usage tracking and billing, ReqKey accurately meters and monitors usage while allowing you to retain control over your own billing infrastructure.
