Description
Clarity serves as a hardware-monitoring tool for Windows desktop users eager for real-time insights into their system's sensors. The application visualizes various metrics, including CPU and GPU performance, memory usage, storage capacity, network speeds, fan activity, and detailed system information, along with a sortable list of processes for managing or adjusting task priorities. Users can monitor CPU die temperature and package power via Aikonic’s certified driver; if certain values are not applicable for a system, they are clearly marked as such with explanations rather than estimates. Additionally, Clarity features an in-memory history of recent performance, drive SMART health indicators, assessments of laptop battery wear, a test for display dead pixels, checks for CPU and memory functionality, and the capability to generate an exportable JSON verification report. The application provides both tray and compact modes that remain always on top, offers options for light and dark themes, and includes a convenient command palette for easy access. Notably, Clarity is available for free, does not require user accounts, and stores hardware readings directly on the local machine. The installer is compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and 11, with particular emphasis on supporting Windows 10 22H2 in a best-effort capacity. Users can benefit from a streamlined experience that prioritizes accessibility and straightforward functionality.
Description
Symas LMDB is an incredibly swift and memory-efficient database that we created specifically for the OpenLDAP Project. Utilizing memory-mapped files, it achieves the read speed typical of purely in-memory databases while also providing the durability associated with traditional disk-based systems. In essence, despite its modest size of just 32KB of object code, LMDB packs a significant punch; it is indeed the perfect 32KB. The compact nature and efficiency of LMDB are integral to its remarkable capabilities. For those integrating LMDB into their applications, Symas provides fixed-price commercial support. Development is actively carried out in the mdb.master branch of the OpenLDAP Project’s git repository. Moreover, LMDB has garnered attention across numerous impressive products and publications, highlighting its versatility and effectiveness in various contexts. Its widespread recognition further cements its status as a vital tool for developers.
