    SolidFace Reviews

    SolidFace

    SolidFace Technology

    $89 per quarter
    6 Ratings
The cost of a separate PDM system is eliminated by the integrated version control and simple management tools. You and your team will always have the most current design data. Every modification made by any user is recorded and can be reverted at any time. This provides unlimited undo/redo as well as a documented audit trail. Many product ideas can be developed simultaneously through branching and merging. SolidFace's parameterization capability is a key advantage. It is available in all design steps. 3D Motion simulation is no exception. The simulation is updated simultaneously as the movement. The simulation of 2D mechanisms is another important capability. This can be done in either 2D drawing or 3D sketch module. This online part library is available directly through SolidFace's software interface. It contains over 100 million parts numbers from hundreds leading component manufacturers and distributors, as well as thousands of ISO, ANSI and DIN, NF and GB, ASME and other standards.

    LibreCAD Reviews
LibreCAD is a free Open Source CAD program for Windows, Apple, and Linux. Our dedicated community of contributors, developers, and users provides support and documentation at no cost. LibreCAD was originally created to integrate CAM capabilities into QCad's community version. This can be used with a Mechmate CNC router. QCad CE was based on the old Qt3 library and needed to be ported to Qt4 to get additional enhancements. This was the birth of CADuntu. The project was initially known as CADuntu for a few months before the community decided that the name was too limiting. After much discussion with the community and some research on other names, CADuntu was renamed LibreCAD. The task of porting the rendering engine from Qt3 to Qt4 proved difficult. LibreCAD was dependent on the Qt3 support libraries initially. Rallaz, our master developer, completed the Qt4 porting during the 2.0.0 series development. LibreCAD is now free from Qt3 except in the 1.0.0 series.
