Oracle Apex is a very fine application platform

    Date: Feb 02 2023

Summary: It takes hours, not weeks to build an application. With a little experience you can adjust the application to new specifications while in direct meeting with your customer. It has an impressive range of widgets and if you miss something, you can always enhance your app with some open source javascript library. It uses files, web services and oracle databases as datasources and with some configuration you could use any odbc source, too. Data can be stored in tables or as json documents.

Positive: Easy to learn, easy to use, easy to enhance with open source, stable, secure. Suited for citizen developers and professional developers alike. Does run on premises or in the cloud. Uses tables and json documents for data.

Negative: It is developed by Oracle. Straight forward full code developers have to rethink the way their applications flow.

Application Express is one step forward for empowering our end users!

    Date: Mar 16 2022

Summary: Bottom line I cant imagine life without having Oracle APEX around. This has greatly streamlined a number of business requests and helped us deliver a number of initiatives with a short time to market.

Positive: I really like the fact that Oracle Application Express (APEX) usually comes bundled within, and also managed in an Oracle Database. The set up is quite simple and there are varying levels depending on the user audience. There is a more direct simple drag and drop interface for power end users, and also the option to allow for developers to dig much deeper with code. All in all this is an excellent tool that I don't see why more organizations would not take advantage of.

Negative: While this is a wonderful addition to your IT ecosystem and portfolio, it does require careful management and governance. Before deploying this clear roles and responsibilities should be laid out within your department otherwise things may get a bit messy with folks stepping on each others toes.

Oracle is indispensable in today's management of any large enterprise

    Date: Mar 17 2021

Summary: Oracle is a very agile application in the creation of analysis and reports, which is positive for processes such as inventory and supply information storage management. This simple business scenario management platform helps us to manage different functions such as accounting, human resources, business intelligence, among other areas of work.

Positive: Oracle provides us with an activity tracking function as effective as it is secure, in which you can create annotations on everything that may occur in the area or in the work time spent without worrying that it may be lost or damaged (since Oracle has its own storage system in the cloud). The application is quite practical to use. When it comes to keeping an accurate and organized control of human resources functions, Oracle helps to keep track of time at work, and to keep a complete track of expenses in our company.

Negative: The software is limited on the basis of some missing functions, such as the all-important invoicing, which although presented to keep track of expenses, does not facilitate the creation of shared invoicing materials that can be counterbalanced with invoices from other branches. In addition, in the accounting area, it does not provide the payroll management tool, which is problematic because this function has to be carried out by another means, resulting in a waste of time.
