SSHive is a comprehensive application for macOS that consolidates various protocols including SSH, SFTP, FTP/FTPS, RDP, VNC, Telnet, and serial console sessions into a single interface, serving as an alternative to MobaXterm. Users can easily access their saved servers organized in a sidebar featuring folders, favorites, and recent connections. The SSH terminal includes functionalities like tabs, split panes, snippets, and the ability to broadcast commands to multiple servers, while also displaying performance metrics such as CPU, RAM, and uptime for Linux and macOS systems. Alongside the terminal, an SFTP browser is available, which is complemented by a dual-pane file manager that supports drag-and-drop actions, resumable uploads, and a remote editing feature. The app proficiently manages local and remote connections, SOCKS5 tunnels, jump hosts, and integrates with SSH agents like 1Password, Strongbox, Secretive, or Bitwarden for enhanced security. Additionally, users can manage Windows Remote Desktop and VNC sessions within separate tabs for convenience. Built-in network tools, an OTP authenticator, and an optional MCP server for AI assistants add further functionality to the application. Importantly, there is no requirement for accounts or telemetry, and passwords are securely stored using the macOS Keychain. The app is available for free on the Mac App Store, with an option for a one-time Pro purchase, and is also compatible with iPhone and iPad devices, making it a versatile solution for users across platforms.
