The new Media Player was created to make it easier to listen to and watch your multimedia content on Windows 11. We're so excited to share it with you all! Media Player showcases your local music and videos and complements the new Windows 11 design. Media Player replaces Groove Music. You can still access your music library and playlists, as well as a host new features. Media Player now supports browsing, managing, as well as watching your local video collection. All videos in your Video Library on your PC will be displayed automatically. Media Player can also be instructed where to search for additional videos in the app settings. Drag and drop files can be supported. Drag files onto the Home or Now playing tabs to play them. Drag them on to the Play queue to add the files to the queue.

Rage is an audio and video player that was created using the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries. It has some interesting features. Rage is a simple audio and video player that's similar to Mplayer. To play media files, use the command line or drag and drop them onto Rage to add them to a list. To enter video browser mode, run Rage without any command-line arguments. You can display a visual overview of all the songs in your playlist by clicking the / key, or hovering your mouse over it. Rage has a complete set of key controls. If the album art is not already cached, Rage searches for it and displays it. It can even generate thumbnails for video timelines.
