Likelihood to Recommend to Others1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10Waste of time and money. Date: Apr 04 2024Summary: Paid for their premium service that completed after 6 months with 200+ applications and zero responses. Their resume re-writes and covers were done with templates and were not very good. My goal was to increase the response rate for applications I was previously doing and to find/apply for more opportunities. In a 6 month period after signing up, I did parallel blind applications and received a 10-20% response rate (while Wellfound's applications received a 0% response rate). A colossal waste of my money and time. I believe this is a predatory business taking advantage of people who use LinkedIn to find opportunities. Positive: I liked what they claimed to offer prior to purchase. I was told my response rate was low because my resume (and covers) needed to be redone as they were not ATS friendly -- and I would get better results using their premium services. Negative: I was disappointed that their claims were largely untrue. The rewrites were not very good and I needed to clarify and correct and make adjustments over time to keep it relevant. Likelihood to Recommend to Others1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10Beware of Wellfound Career Services – A Disappointing Experience Date: Dec 04 2023Summary: I recently engaged with Wellfound, a purportedly professional career services company, with high hopes of receiving expert assistance in refining my resume. Unfortunately, my experience with their services has been nothing short of disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction.

From the outset, I entrusted Wellfound with the task of rewriting my resume, expecting a meticulous approach that would highlight my skills and experiences effectively. However, what I received in return was a document riddled with foolish mistakes and inaccuracies that even a cursory review should have caught.

One of the most glaring issues was their apparent lack of attention to key details in my work experience. The revised resume contained inaccuracies and false claims about my professional background, a clear indication that Wellfound had not taken the time to thoroughly understand my career history. This level of carelessness is unacceptable from a service that claims to be dedicated to enhancing one's professional image.

When I raised these concerns and requested a new draft, hoping for a more accurate representation of my skills and accomplishments, I was met with further frustration. The changes made were superficial and cosmetic, primarily due to the template used rather than a genuine effort to address the specific details of my resume. It became evident that Wellfound's process was more template-driven than tailored to the individual needs of their clients.

The most disheartening aspect of this experience is the realization that Wellfound's services appear to be nothing more than a scam. Despite the promises of personalized attention, it became apparent that there was a lack of human touch in their approach. Instead, it seemed like a generic process with little consideration for the unique qualities and experiences of their clients.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering Wellfound for their career services to exercise caution. My experience with them has left me with a sense of frustration, wasted time, and a profound disappointment in the lack of professionalism demonstrated by this company. Save yourself the trouble and seek out a reputable career services provider that genuinely values attention to detail and the unique attributes of your professional journey. Wellfound, in my experience, falls far short of delivering on its promises.Positive: The initial outreach seems promising as they put more effort and detail into trying to win you as a client. Once they have your money, it's all downhill from there. Negative: Generic process, lack of human touch, lack of attention to key details. Read More...

Likelihood to Recommend to Others1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10Very poor value for money Date: May 08 2023Summary: Not worth spending money on. LinkedIn and other advertising boards have much better value for money overall. Positive: Some good candidates but these are all on Linkedin and easier to find there. They have an historic reputation that is waning. Negative: Very expensive compared to LinkedIn. Their process relies on sneaky autorenewals, with refund requests rejected. Read More...
