Poor - just so Bad Date: Apr 02 2025
Summary: I will not use Trip again, as other agents would have shown more understanding and logic.
Positive: Nothing.
Negative: I mistakenly entered the wrong date for my stay, three weeks in advance. Despite the no-cancel policy, Trip refused to cancel the booking and issue a refund, forcing me to pay for an unnecessary room.

Given the ample lead time, an exception should have been made. The call center's location outside the UK led to delayed responses and callbacks, exacerbating the issue. -

Terrible experience Date: Feb 20 2025
Summary: Terrible experience with Trip.com.
I booked a flight from SGN (Vietnam) to YYC (Calgary).
When I arrive Vancouver (YVR), they book me a flight in a different airport which is 70km away and expect to self-transfer there which make no sense, and they don't admit it is their system issue.
I used to book flights with Trip.com, paid more than $3,500 to this point, but I will never travel with them again going forward.Positive: Apparently, they will take your request for customer service, but they don't solve them. You will just waste your time.
Negative: such a bad management when customers are frustrated with their system errors and scams, they don't take responsibility.

Shocking Service Date: Sep 18 2024
Summary: My overall experience with this company has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. A simple mistake with my booking quickly spiraled into an expensive nightmare, with no help or flexibility from their customer service. Despite contacting them immediately, they declined to assist and instead offered only overpriced solutions that forced me to pay exorbitant fees. Even when KLM confirmed seat availability, I was blocked from making changes directly and had to go through the agency. Their predatory practices, lack of transparency, and poor customer service made this a highly stressful and costly experience. I strongly advise avoiding them.
Positive: Although it would be ideal to highlight any potential benefits, after my experience with this company, I can honestly say there are no pros to working with them. Their customer service is unhelpful, they show no flexibility or willingness to resolve issues, and their business practices feel predatory. Instead of offering reasonable solutions when mistakes occur, they exploit customers for additional money. The lack of transparency, extreme fees, and refusal to assist with basic changes make it impossible to recommend this company. There is simply nothing positive to say about dealing with them. Proceed with extreme caution.
Negative: The error occurred when I was adjusting…

The error occurred when I was adjusting our flights to fit within my daughter's school schedule. Without realizing it, I accidentally changed the return date instead of the departure date—an innocent mistake. Upon noticing, I contacted Trip.com immediately. They offered to change the tickets but couldn't confirm the payment amount at the time, promising to inform me if the change was successful.
While waiting for their feedback, I contacted KLM directly. They confirmed that plenty of seats were available on the flight I wanted, but since I had booked through Trip.com, KLM was unable to assist and advised me to request the changes through Trip.com.
Later that day, I received an email from Trip.com saying the change had been declining, and I was instructed to use their online portal to book another date. When I did, the only options available were either two business class tickets for the day we had initially planned to fly—where they would cancel our original tickets, meaning we would forfeit the entire amount already paid and would have to rebook at the full business class rate—or paying an additional €2500 to secure a ticket on another day, cutting our trip short by two days.
Ultimately, we ended up having to pay €10,000 for the return tickets to South Africa because of the way this company conducts its business. Their behavior is nothing short of predatory, exploiting innocent mistakes and leaving customers with outrageous costs or ruined travel plans. Despite seats being available, they refused to provide a reasonable solution, trapping us into these exorbitant fees.
Please be careful and use any other travel agency—this one is honestly shocking. -

Would not touch with a barge pole Date: Mar 16 2024
Summary: I am absolutely disgusted and will never use them again but will not let this go. Shame on you Trip.com.
Positive: I have purchased transfer flights to Italy for years and never and ever had a bad experience till now.
Negative: I purchased a flight to Milan Malpensa from Gatwick to transfer to Lamezia from Trip.com, only to learn the transfer flight was actually from Milan Linate, nearly a 100 kilometres away,

I had to pay €124 taxi to Linate airport which took an hour because of Trip.coms incompetence.
To add insult to injury, Trip.com, after complaining, said they couldn't find any errors on their part and offered me a insulting €24 trip coins as a gesture of good will. -
