Summary: 1) Have used SmartSHOW since Feb 2014.
2 ) Have been producing videos since 2005.
3) Videos produced are mainly scenic and travel. Also, a great way to highlight my passion for creativity, detail and organization in video format; i.e., process control, spreadsheet design for simplifying any work effort or methodology.
4) I will use this product several times throughout the year and then sometimes not so often which has no reflection on the product

Positive: 1) Purchase Only (with free updates within one year of purchase).
2) New Templates and Features are offered frequently.
3) Customer Service is ALWAYS Great!
4) Software prices are reasonable.
5) I love Windows 7 and am delighted that AMS Software is still producing products for W7.

Negative: I really have not experienced any problems to date. If I do, it is because I am not understanding how to use a certain function. I will then explore how to use it.

Summary: Love the program.

Positive: I purchased the software for our 50TH wedding anniversary in 2015/2016 and started using the software with minimal effort. The project turned out pretty good and my wife loves it but as I see my first project as needing improvement, but she is loves it.

The 1st project is where I learned the hard lesson about saving and saving to another computer. I have that part down pat now.

I am 78 now and really like the software and continue to use it as it has a lot of strong features and fairly easy to use.

Negative: I have no issues with the software except that the updates had to be linked to support however that has been fixed.

Summary: I have been using SmartSHOW 3D since 2016, and it has been a great experience.
Taking pictures and recording videos of family events is my hobby. With SmartSHOW 3D, I can easily turn those memories into beautiful video slideshows. The final videos always look professional, and my friends and family often praise them, saying they look like they were made by a professional.
The most special video I made using SmartSHOW 3D was a memorial tribute for a close friend who passed away a few months ago. It turned out to be the best video I have ever created. This program has everything you need to make high-quality videos.
Another great thing about SmartSHOW 3D is their excellent customer support. They not only guide you step by step but also send helpful video tutorials to fix any issues.
I 100% recommend SmartSHOW 3D! It is the best software for creating professional-looking videos with ease.

Positive: Easy to Use: The software is very user-friendly, even for beginners.
Great Features: It offers a wide selection of titles, effects, transitions, and designer templates, making video creation simple.
Professional Results: The final videos look high-quality and well-made, often praised by my family and friends.

Negative: Limited Advanced Editing: While great for slideshows and basic video editing, it may not have the advanced tools that professional editors use.
Occasional Bugs: Sometimes, there are small glitches, but customer support is always helpful in fixing them.

Summary: Nothing to say, apart from these cuts.

I am really very satisfied with it, because it allows me to create beautiful slideshows and videos.
In my family, I have become the referent for slideshows, which I produce for each anniversary that marks a decade.

Negative: The software outages that sometimes occur during my work.

Summary: I find the program very stimulating because it allows my creativity and imagination to flourish. Extremely enjoyable.

Positive: The variety of customization using the Slides, Templates, and Themes are only limited by your imagination. You never have to create the exact same Slideshow again. It's very intuitive and there's always help at your fingertips no matter where you are in the process. Adding music couldn't be easier, with the ability to synchronize the Slides to match the speed of the transitions. Nothing comes close to smartShow 3D. I couldn't be happier.

Negative: It's hardly a deal breaker, but If I had to pick something, I would say that the amount of optional Themes to buy is so extensive that it's hard to choose sometimes.

Summary: Once I got smart and started saving my work often, it was much easier and the process was a breeze. All in all, it is a great software package this is the third upgrade I have purchased and it was worth every penny. I loved it so much I also purchased this product for a friend and she loves it. NO REGRETS!

Positive: I really liked the ease of use and the various transitions that were supplied, I incorporated various slides from several trips and even included some short video captures. It is much more fun to watch the presentation on TV, or on a computer screen, then boring someone to tears looking at "printed photos in an album".

Negative: I can't really say that I found anything wrong with this software, except for the fact that it did automatic saves but when I went to open it it had not really saved my entire project, maybe I misunderstood the instructions and should not have said "restore from a save".

Summary: My overall experience has been that it is a satisfactory slideshow producer with more depth than is at first noticeable.

Positive: I have found this program to be efficient and able to make a professional-looking slideshow. I have used a number of different slideshow programs including Proshow Producer; Photopia; Cyberlink; Moravia and a number of online products. I can say that SmartShow [the latest edition) can handle a lot of what the bigger and more costly programs produce. At the price SS3d costs, I would say unless you're in the business of selling your work it will handle just about any desired show you may want for home or friends. Having said that my overall preferred Slideshow maker is PTE AV Studio Ten.

Negative: Having read some of the other comments, all I can say is I have had no problems with either the program or getting help when needed in regard to downloading of additions. Some of its real benefits are not at first noticeable so one needs to investigate to get its hidden gems.

Summary: It's a very simple program for creating colorful slideshows which is important for me due to my job (I'm a middle school teacher and you know what middle schoolers are, their attention is hard to catch). The website offers a whole library of tutorials and guides, so the process of creating a slideshow is really quick. I can't say a thing about the support as I didn't have to reach out to them. I will add this info once I'll have to contact them!

Positive: + Very simple interface
+ Many tutorials and video guides for the new and unexperienced users
+ The slides' elements can be modified => every new slideshow will be unique in its way and thus interesting for the children
+ Many templates that are available for the user (unlike Prezi where you have to buy access to certain functions)
+ Interesting visual effects that catch children's attention
+ The slideshows don't take too much of the memory storage, so I sent them to my pupils easily via e-mail

Negative: - Some of the templates look old-fashioned and cheesy (the children laughed at them)
- The website navigation looked a bit complicated to my mind
- The program informs you about other products of the developer which I consider unnecessary

Summary: Smartshow 3D has a very simple and user friendly interface, which is very good for me, as I'm not an experienced user (my only experience with slideshows is PowerPoint). Still, the program has many templates to choose from and you can arrange your photos for any occasion (I did slideshows for my daughter's birthday and after our family trip in summer). You can also add a track to your slideshow and there is a bunch of melodies to choose from. I didn't like any of them, but there was an opportunity to upload your own track. I don't know how much such programs should cost, so I think that the price is reasonable. At least, I didn't regret buying this program. It's also lightweight, so it didn't kill my old laptop. Thank you!

Positive: Lightweight, fast, has user friendly interface and lots of templates, had many adjustable details in each slide, the price is reasonable.

Negative: The collection of music is wide but it doesn't contain the songs I like. You can ass your own music, though.

Summary: It's worth trying out the free trial version. I have not found a comparable program with which you can create such wonderful looking picture shows. It's intuitive to use and great for beginners and advanced users. That's why I love it so much!

Positive: As a former web designer, I love creating great looking designs and layouts. The highlight of the websites I created were always the picture galleries. This led to my hobby of creating animated picture shows in 3D with music using the software Smartshow 3D, current version 25.0.

Smart Show 3D offers great possibilities:
- Intuitive use of the program, so that even a newcomer can quickly find his way around.
- Many templates for picture shows in 5 minutes (simply insert pictures, the program does the rest), so that a novice can quickly create a professional-looking show.
- Many templates that can be purchased on the software manufacturer's website.
- But also possibility to start with a “blank” show and create all slides by hand.
- Possibility to define the duration of the slides, the choice of transitions between slides and the duration of the transitions themselves.
- Photos can be enhanced in the photo editor.
- They can also be cropped.
- If desired, inserted films can also be used without sound or cropped in the program.
- You can use your own music or use the music library offered in the program. The volume of the music can be changed and it can also be cropped.
- The shows can be easily exported in many different formats, e.g. for television or mobile devices.
- VERY IMPORTANT: The projects can be saved “for other computer”. This saves all the images, audio files, films, etc. used so that I can edit the project later, even if the original images are no longer in their original location, for example.

Negative: The templates are getting more and more expensive. Unfortunately, the program crashes frequently, so my motto is: save, save, save ...

Summary: Great program to use overall! I have used quite a few other slide show programs but always come back to SmartSHOW 3D. I recently used it for my mother-in-laws memorial show and it came together very good.

Positive: The program is a breeze to use especially when you are working with very larges amounts of pictures. The program is packed with many more features that I just have never used.

Negative: Nothing in particular stands out except once in a while I will get error messages when saving files. I need to educate myself further as to where data is stored and sometimes info is missing when I pull up previously saved projects.

Summary: In general, I think the SmartShow3D is great. It is excellently solved in application. See also "above" in Pros.

Positive: SmartSHOW 3D is fantastic for creating a picture show.

Negative: In version 25 there are unfortunately very few new transitions (applications).
I expected more. However, I haven't worked with version 25 yet.
I have little to no use with the templates.

Summary: Pretty much the industry standard for this type of application. You will need to adjust photos from time to time, but does very well with reading the shot. Make sure you save often and back up daily. Perfect for graduations, funerals, celebrations that require the "slide show".

Positive: Fairly simple to use, great library of montage styles and transitions. New style packs available. Timeline plays and stops with a tap of the spacebar. Drag-n-drop works great. Solid tech support. Can stretch photos to fit the screen quite easily. Comes with royalty free music.

Negative: Only certain style packs allow video so it is limited. When purchasing style packs, you cannot add more than one to the cart per purchase. Wish each montage effect had a way show how many photos it accommodates without having to call it up. In America, tech support takes a day to respond in a chat.

Summary: My experience have been good. The program is ok for beginners. After using it foe a few years I am wondering why they do not have a advance copy for experience user. But for use of using it is good.

Positive: It is a easy program to use for beginners. When ever I have needed help it was good. You need to contact them by email and usually they get back to you in 48hrs. There is a learning curve but it is moderate.

Negative: Lack of improvement to the program. They do not seem to take any suggestion to improve to put more advance improvement. It is hard to do outstanding shows because there is to hard to customize the show to you liking. Foe example combining slides together.

Summary: I purchased this and requested my money back within 15 minutes because my family already bought a program to make a slideshow for my mom, who had just passed away, unexpectedly. I was told too bad, which was not a good enough reason to ask for my money back. I went back and forth with them, explaining my story repeatedly because they thought it wasn't working. It tells you a lot about a company that does not investigate or read why I requested a refund. And even more about them when they lack empathy and understanding. I will post on every site to not buy this software because their customer service is terrible.

Positive: Nothing if you want any support they offer none. Please see my overall review for more details. I would not waste my time or money on this POS.

Negative: Everything how could anyone want to do business with a company that has no customer support.
