RxConnect Description

RxConnect is a web-based solution that allows you to dispense medication inpatient hospitals. It allows clinicians to electronically connect with pharmacies and electronically send pharmacy orders from their EHR. RxConnect supports automated dispensing machines (ADMs), and connects to the electronic medication administration record(eMAR) for closed-loop medication management. A clinical rules engine allows clinicians to review and manage drug interactions, allergies, and patient-specific dosing. You will also find information on drug disease, alcohol interactions, as well as lab and tobacco, pregnancy, lactation, general precautions, and black box warnings. All necessary information, including inventory, formulary, progress notes and labs integration, as well pharmacy notes, is included.

    Mediocre at best

    Date: Dec 26 2021

Summary: The OS could be more user-friendly. The display should either get a facelift or scale back to a faster, minimal screen.

Positive: The integrated 3rd party search tool is very quick & accurate. The processing queues are flush with the same info for every script.

Negative: The system is unintuitive when moving on to the next screen during processing. Some basic functions like transferring in meds from a different retail Rx or selecting DAW can be tedious & should be streamlined more for the end user.

    Destroyed Trust

    Date: Jan 10 2024

Summary: They destroyed my trust in them when I called to pause my order, and they then shipped it three days later anyway.

My vet changed the medicine requirements as our needs changed, so I called to pause the order. I told them I would follow up when to place the order. They asked how long and I told them it would probably be a few days before I knew.

Instead, they took the opportunity to bill, charge, and ship without my authorization or even confirming with me first.

Positive: Nothing. No. Completely took advantage of my trust. Only payment is bank transfer. Complete scam. Scam alert.

Negative: They destroyed my trust in them when I called to pause my order, and they then shipped it three days later anyway.

    Rx connect OE confirmation review

    Date: Sep 07 2023

Summary: Awful. Still trying to learn the bugs and how to solve . I have worked with over 18 order entry systems...been a pharmacist since the dawn of computerized OE (over 40 yrs!) And This Is The Worst!!!!

Positive: Nothing. I tried to rate this zero stars, but 1 is low as you go.

Negative: Everything! Too much manipulation of dose, directions, needed
Click this first, or maybe this. Who knows? Lots of red indicating something is not right. I will take Epic or Cerner ANY day before this !
