    RUVNA Review

    Summary: Overall beyond the software the wrap around support from the RUVNA team adds an additional layer of value. I would definitely recommend RUVNA to other schools.

    Positive: RUVNA has been a significant upgrade to our campus safety process. The ease of use of the product both for administrators but more importantly for teachers has led to fidelity of use. I especially appreciate how receptive the RUVNA team is to feedback and continually looking to add or update current features.

    Negative: Our school adopted RUVNA three years ago. During that time the software has proven reliable. I don't have any negatives associated with the platform to report.

    Evolving Tech in the School Safety Space

    Summary: It’s been great to use the technology and have it integrate with our school safety protocols. There are many strengths to making use of Ruvna and if you are in the school safety space, I would encourage you to look into making use of their systems. It has been a complete game changer at our school for communication and accountability.

    Positive: Ruvna is exceptionally intuitive for our faculty to interact with. The Ruvna team constantly takes feed back for features and since we adopted the technology in 2022, it has become increasingly more easy to integrate our systems with. I am most impressed with the Ruvna team’s ability to hear feedback and make meaningful changes to improve end-user experience.

    Negative: I don't have anything negative to say. Does the tech glitch at times? Yes, but never in a critical moment, and bug fixes come quickly when surfaced

    What a Product!

    Summary: I spent several years bouncing from system to system trying to find the right program for our school for handling emergencies and student and staff accountability. I dealt with issue after issue after issue with those systems. Ruvna was the answer we have been looking for! Not only are we very happy with the product, but we know that Ruvna is always looking to continue to enhance its product. Just this past summer they rolled our 2 great additions. In the education industry, many times we're stuck with limitations that systems have with no real product enhancements over the course of time. Ruvna is constantly seeking feedback and trying to get better and better. We couldn't be happier with our decision to institute Ruvna at our schools!

    Positive: -fast and easy accountability for students and staff in real time
    -easy initiation of emergency procedures
    -documents accessible with just the tap of a finger
    -Requests for assistance customizable to specific people most directly involved with needing to be informed
    -integrates with 911 to minimize response time
    -easy navigation from campus to campus
    -great reporting features
    -in-app chat feature enhances communication
    -check-in feature available for those off-campus

    Negative: -No real complaints. My only wish is that the Request for Assistance sound could be different from an emergency activation, but I believe that is a limitation of iOS.

    Ruvna Makes Emergency Management Safer and Easier

    Summary: The Ruvna team is very involved with their clients and actively seek feedback to improve their products, which I love! Of course, no one likes random surveys and status checks when they are busy, but Ruvna solicits feedback periodically and in ways that make it easy on the customer. Also, they are very receptive to emails from their customers on suggestions for improvements.

    They recognize that they are a growing company and want to meet the needs of their clients, and stay competitive with similar platforms.

    We are planning to adopt the Visitor Management System, and hoping to adopt one of the upcoming platforms that is in development, which they talked about in one of their client meet-and-greets last winter.

    Positive: Ruvna has made emergency management, notifications and accountability so much easier and safer for our schools! Once we adopted Ruvna as our platform, it really highlighted the gaps in our prior system, and the only real errors that we had with drills, were not with Ruvna, but with our staff accountability and accuracy.

    As an District Administrator on the platform, I love that I don't have to physically be at the building to see what is happening during a drill, and I can do a drill autopsy with our School Leaders using the drill report if there are gaps in accountability during drills. Our teachers like it because while it holds them to a higher level of attention to their student attendance, they understand the importance of accountability of all students. The secondary benefit to Ruvna, is that it holds our teachers to ensure that their class attendance in our SIS is precisely accurate because then they have seen how it translates to taking attendance in emergency situations.

    The interface is very easy to use and set up! Training is breeze!

    Negative: Most of the small issues that we had came with onboarding and integration with our SIS, but customer support is very responsive and quick to help!

    There's a couple of small tweaks that I will recommend to Ruvna to help make it stronger, but overall, I do not see any cons to the Emergency Management Program.
