Summary: Best one that I have found of the ones that you will find reviewed in publications such as PCWorld, etc.
Positive: I use the PDF-XChange Editor only for the same editing features available in Acrobat Reader, so I can't provide a review of its PDF content editing capabilities. PDFX is far superior to Acrobat as well as the other PDF reader/editor apps that I tried for the features that I need.
It has a complete set of tools, capabilities, and personalizations, and they are easy to customize.
If anyone has ever tried to create a quick toolbar in Acrobat then you know how tedious it can be. You need to go through a tree structure about four times for EACH item that you want to add to the toolbar.
Acrobat requires that you click on Comment in order to get the Comment toolbar at the top of the window every time that you open a file, but not PDFX.
PDFX has a customizable ribbon and a customizable Quick Access toolbar that functions and looks like that of Word and Excel. Not Acrobat.
In short, PDFX has a UI that will be familiar, standardize UI that you find in many programs, which Acrobat does not have.Negative: I haven't found anything that I don't like in the three months or so that I have used it every day.

Summary: I am very satisfied with using PDF-XChange PRO in my work. It's very versatile, fast, excellent editing and easy to use, very functional. Does everything I need in my work.
Positive: This was honestly exactly what I needed to edit and create fillable PDFs. The price is nice low (compare to similar), and the support team is extremely good.
Negative: I didn't find any cons. I wish to have more features, but it's not a con.

Summary: I was having issues with Acrobat being slow cumbersome and locking up often. Being a power user i needed an alternative and pdf exchange has all the features i used in acrobat but quicker and the menus & toolbars (once you get the hang of them) very good. Reasonable price. Acrobat has been so "dumbed down" that all the features are hidden in buried menus. Tedious, exchange is breath of fresh air. may not suit the occasional user.
Positive: FAST. Full featured. Has all the features i used in Acrobat but better laid out and logical. Menus are logical and accessible. I am using pro version.
Negative: Menus are a bit confusing - but only at first. May not suit the occasional user as there is a lot going on.
