Elements' advantage is its ability to handle large numbers of discrete features efficiently and quickly. CAD formats that can be imported include DXF and Gerber as well as CSV locations lists. The advanced review mode allows users to inspect specific features in real-time after a run is completed. The coarse alignment feature allows for the positioning of finders in real-time to be updated for more accurate measurements. The built-in analysis tools make it easy to analyze large data trends. Renishaw's MODUS provides a powerful platform to measure 5-axis. A configurable interface allows native DMIS to be developed off-line, drawing geometry, embedded measurements, and tolerance data directly from CAD. Full simulation is also possible. The software contains algorithms that are certified for feature measurement, feature creation, and part alignment. The software allows offline creation of programs directly from CAD, with on-screen probe paths verification. The CMM environment, fixture, and location of the part can be defined to enable full simulation of 5-axis measurements programs. MODUS has a wide range of reporting capabilities, including CMM text reports that can be formatted in any way you like. Graphical reporting allows results to be displayed on the CAD model.
