Summary: Amazon Lumberyard is a free to use game engine which offers a great feature set for high quality game development. It is especially great for smaller teams and indie developers looking to create wonderful experiences.
Positive: Amazon Lumberyard is a relatively new platform from Amazon, which is a AAA game engine which is free to use. It is compatible with other AWS Services and you need to pay only if you leverage these services for multiplayer game development. Apart from that it is completely free and offers lots of features and tool ideal for even a full-featured AAA title.
Negative: It's relatively new and very less used right now. It will take time to test it against Unity and other engineers.
