MkaPEB offers a diverse selection of template types specifically designed for portal frames and steel roof truss systems that feature variable cross-sections. Each aspect of the roof systems within these templates is parametric, allowing for flexible customization; they can be positioned side by side or at varying heights as needed. Once the wind parameters are established in accordance with regulations, the application automatically computes the distributed loads impacting both the roof and the facades of the building. These loads are seamlessly transferred to the roof and wall purlins before being relayed to the primary structural support system. A significant challenge in calculating snow loads arises from the snow that accumulates in areas between different elevations of roof systems. To address this, the calculation methodologies can be found in EN-1991-1-3 and ASCE-07-16, which outline how to account for increased loads due to snow accumulation effectively.
