Great way to host new files easily.

    Date: May 09 2023

Summary: In general, MediaFire is an excellent option to consider if you need a service to securely store your files. It is important to note that it is a platform with a lot of advertising and it throws more advertising every time a new file is downloaded via shared link. I have loved how MediaFire works, it is a very easy-to-use platform that allows you to host and download new files without carrying out such a complex process, it also allows you to manage cloud storage, enjoy information encryption in each stored file and two-step security to access your MediaFire cloud. In general, this platform has performed perfectly.

Positive: MediaFire allows a very complete hosting of various files, you can store anything within this cloud service, in addition, you can share any stored file with anyone just by using a link. MediaFire allows two different hostings, the premium hosting has much more capacity to host larger files, however, the free hosting offers considerably good space which allows you to store quite common files. Something fantastic is that the quality of the videos that have been uploaded does not decrease, in addition, it does not present an expiration time for the files, several years can pass and access to those files is as good as the first day. MediaFire is easy to use, it has very good servers which allows you to download and upload files without waiting so long.

Negative: MediaFire has a lot of advertising, every time a person wants to download a file, they will have to enter several pop-up windows and advertisements around the files, it does not matter if the person who has uploaded that file uses MediaFire Premium, in the same way the advertising will appear in each download. Another negative thing is that MediaFire does not have any type of integration with Office systems, which is quite negative because you cannot edit a note or a specific document, you must download it to your computer to be able to edit documents, hopefully they will implement this function in the future.

    Reliable, despite its age

    Date: Nov 19 2020

Summary: I like Mediafire and have used it for years, but I wouldn't personally recommend it for use in a professional setting. Dropbox, OneDrive, and Zoho Docs might be better options for holding onto all your files for work.

Positive: Mediafire is old, but it's reliable and easy to use. I've mostly used it for personal stuff more than anything, but it can be a good way to quickly upload files and no one can get to it without knowing the link.

Negative: It's mostly just for file sharing, and not as much for business. For professional use, there's better options out there that are better organized and even more private.
