A bit worried about using Leap Wallet

    Date: Nov 22 2024

Summary: It is November 2024 and currently in a bull market led by Bitcoin approaching $100,000 per coin. As we move to an altcoins bull market one of the most important things for me is to start looking into how easy is it to liquidate certain coins to keep profits! Leap Wallet is currently horrible in this regards. Just recently I tried to do swaps in their native swap and swapfast app and they all failed! Not sure if it is lack of liquidity or bad coding. To be honest, the cosmos network is not for the faint at heart due to its many chains; there is complexity. I have searched and can’t find a common user evaluation of this wallet less than 180 days old! Just illustrate the complexity; You can have the same token on different chains. Recently I tried moving Astro token from the Injective chain to another chain. The bot stated It was to be a multi step move; that I had no control over. It failed at the Terra2 chain so now I have Astro on the Terra2 chain. Which is like taking a trip by plane with connecting flights but having one leg not show up so you’re stuck in some deserted city like Terra2. Issues like this make for a nightmarish exit strategy, so I think it is time to somehow figure out how to move off this wallet.

Positive: You can participate in unique tokens associated with many different chains. I like the Akash token on the AKT chain and the fact I can stake this coin. I really like the SEI token and their memes. At first, maybe a year ago Leap Wallet was easy to maneuver and purchase coins.

Negative: Today it is extremely difficult to swap or move those unique tokens. The number of chains has grown so wide that the wallet has enabled a new feature only showing the tokens. They also produced a Swapfast app that seems to fail alot!
