Unable to create HumanPal video after upgrading

    Date: Aug 19 2023

Summary: My experience with the HumanPal video creation platform has been a mixed bag, leaving me somewhat disappointed after initially being excited about its potential. I subscribed to the platform on 21 April 2023 based on its enticing promise of unlimited video creation with a one-time payment of $49, only to find out that the reality fell short of these expectations.

The initial phase of using HumanPal was promising. I was able to create several one-minute videos with reasonable quality. The ability to merge multiple videos was a helpful feature, allowing me to piece together my creative vision. However, this initial positive impression began to wane as I realized the limitations imposed by the video quota.

After exhausting the allocated 50 videos, I decided to upgrade to the unlimited video plan, for which I paid an additional $149 on 3 August 2023. This decision turned out to be a regrettable one, as I encountered a frustrating roadblock that hindered my video creation efforts. Upon attempting to create a video after the upgrade, I repeatedly encountered a rendering issue. The platform consistently displayed an error message, preventing me from progressing beyond a crucial step (hang-up at step number 6).

Despite following the HumanPal Team's suggestions, such as refreshing the browser, using incognito mode, and clearing the cache, the problem persisted. The team even resorted to exploring the issue through TeamViewer, indicating their willingness to assist, yet the proposed solution of using a VPN with a Canadian server proved to be impractical for my everyday tasks.

The lack of convenience in this workaround highlights a critical flaw in the HumanPal platform's usability. As a user, I should not be required to alter my routine or compromise my browsing experience to access a service I've paid for. This issue, coupled with the fact that my upgraded plan's value was effectively nullified due to the persistent technical problem, leaves me feeling like my investment of $149 has been wasted.

In conclusion, my experience with the HumanPal video creation platform has been marked by both promise and disappointment. While the platform initially showcased potential, the limitations on video quantity, coupled with a persistent and obstructive technical issue, have greatly undermined its appeal. As a customer, I expected a seamless and user-friendly experience after upgrading, but I've instead encountered frustration and inconvenience. The HumanPal team's efforts to address the issue are appreciated, but ultimately, the platform falls short of delivering on its promises. For potential users, it is essential to weigh the platform's potential benefits against the risks of encountering technical obstacles that may hinder your creative endeavors.

Positive: The initial phase of using HumanPal was promising. I was able to create several one-minute videos with reasonable quality. The ability to merge multiple videos was a helpful feature, allowing me to piece together my creative vision.

Negative: Upon attempting to create a video after the upgrade, I repeatedly encountered a rendering issue. The platform consistently displayed an error message, preventing me from progressing beyond a crucial step (hang-up at step number 6).
