Heimdall Data Description
The Heimdall Proxy provides data access for architects, database administrators, and application developers. Our proxy provides a faster, more secure, and scalable solution to their existing SQL database, whether it is on-premise or in the cloud. We provide SQL visibility and performance across multiple-vendor databases. Our proxy can be deployed transparently as a sidecar process. Our distributed deployment delivers optimal performance and predictive scale. Application changes are required to implement a master-writer and read replica architecture. Our proxy routes queries directly to the appropriate database instance. We can guarantee data consistency with replication lag detection Relating front-side to backside connections can be reduced by up to 1000:1. You can limit connections per user or per database. This allows for fairness and protects the database from being overloaded (respectively). Active Directory integration is also available for authentication and authorization.
