    EMR and ASC software as a whole

    Summary: HST’s EMR has made our daily work so much easier. Great support, smooth performance, and a system that just works once you’re up and running.

    Positive: We’ve been using HST’s EMR for a while now, and it’s been a game-changer. The system is super easy to use, and the support team is hands down the best we’ve ever worked with quick, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.

    I also love that multiple team members can chart at the same time without issues. We recently added HST Pay, which lets us take online patient payments right inside the system, and it’s been seamless.

    Negative: Getting set up wasn’t easy at first, but HST’s support team made the transition easier.

    HST SURGERY CENTER EMR

    Summary: Would have thrown it out long ago but our manage company has been using their practice management system management system across its many centers and the EMR integration is an extension of it. Switching the EMR although highly desirable would be difficult. Beware!!!

    Positive: Nothing but had to use it because we had already been using their practice management system that was put in by Regents our management company and it would theoretically seamlessly connect

    Negative: Very difficult system to use by both the surgeons and anesthesiologists at our center. It has many hitches that create flow issues between the various players inputting information. If for example a particular time input was left by an upstream nurse those downstream in the operating room couldn’t input data . Their pads continually shut of on their own to”protect patient data” requiring endless complicated restarts by using personnel wasting time and frustrating users. There is no end around despite our continued complaints.

    Summary: The products are all a mess, and don't talk to each other in the way you'd want/expect. We'll be going back with SIS.

    Positive: HST was recommended as a suite of products for our surgery center, and seemed very promising at the start.

    Negative: Once you peek behind the curtain, the cracks reveal themselves.
