Happy with the service and features- now waiting for Video! Date: Jul 02 2020
Summary: Happy with the service and the features offered. The team has been updating about the features and progress- I think the service is shaping up rather well.
Positive: I had used the base plan of Gumlet last year, and was thrilled to see the Appsumo offer. Bought 2 codes, tested out the WordPress plugin for a WP site, and a web folder. The setup is easy, steps are rather well documented. Have/had also tried Cloudinary, Shortpixel AI and Cloudimage and Gumlet is one of the easier ones to work with. The WP plugin makes configuration a no brainer, like it even though personally I like to peek under the hood for configurations.
Negative: After some initial hiccups with the cName, things worked out well for the non- WP sites. The migration to gumlet.io domain has been rather challenging- the image URL will have to be updated for many of my non WP sites. But if the short term pain leads to long term gains (in ease/ stability/ etc) then it might be taken with stride.

Positive: Constantly improving and Helpful customer support
you get 1 GB Bandwidth for free. So if you have a low traffic site you can potentially use the service for free.Negative: Possible to connect only Gumlet CDN and Cloudfront. there is not an easy way to connect others CDN providers.

Positive: Easy to setup, Dint need any code changes. Support was super good and fast. Optimized my site in less than 15 min.

Good service! Date: Jun 27 2020
Summary: Overall, the tool is very easy to setup, and to monitor. Analytics are good. Speed performance has improved slightly through Cloudfront CDN, not Gumlet's own CDN.
Positive: I like about their eagerness to improve Gumlet continuously. The tool started with a lot of bugs, but it has improved significantly.
Negative: Cloudfront CDN is what Gumlet promised to deliver. Not sure how Gumlet own CDN is performing, vs Cloudfront CDN.

Nice API Date: Jun 27 2020
Summary: The service is easy to use and for it's complexity there is enough documentation too. It's a well thought through service which is new but in it's core already pretty matured.
If they keep up their recently rapid pace, I have high hopes for the future.
Good 4 Stars for now.Positive: It works and I like the concept of lazy load combined with exactly the size needed. I also like the many API-parameters you can use to size, crop, watermark, color-manipulate, ... the image.
They evolve rapidly and listen to the request of their customers.Negative: The CDN worked reliable and fast as they used the Amazon CDN, but I have concerns about the future, as they switch now to their own CDN, which has only some nodes. But time will tell.

The rather new WordPress-Plugin needs still some work, but it's going into the right direction. Some things like css background-images were added just recently and do not work in all situation. -

Positive: I was looking for an easy way to batch process a couple of hundred pictures at a time to get ready for use on websites. Gumlet did the trick.
Negative: Based off of the description, I was expecting this to do a lot more than it did.
